Welcome to Hauwa and Zainab Memorial School

Founded in 2013 in Jebbu-Bassa, Bassa Local Government Area, Plateau State, Nigeria, Hauwa and Zainab Memorial School was created from a simple but powerful belief:

Education can change the future of a child while also helping to build peace within a community.

The school brings children from pastoralist and farming communities together in the same learning environment, giving them the opportunity to learn, interact and grow together.

More than a decade later, we are building upon that foundation by expanding our vision beyond foundational education to include skills development, entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihood opportunities, particularly for young people, girls and women.
